Jamie and Tom’s Yosemite Wedding at The Ahwahnee (Majestic Yosemite Hotel)

Ceremony & Reception: The Ahwahnee Hotel
Hair & Makeup: Bellissimo Brides
Floral Design: Sweet Dreams Flowers

On a gorgeous Friday, which just happened to be the 120st Anniversary of Yosemite National Park, Tom and Jamie exchanged vows on the lawn of The Ahwahnee Hotel in front of a small group of family members. The wedding day was full of personal touches, including Jamie wearing an exquisite gown made by her mother and designed by Jamie. She looked so elegant and feminine! Tom wore the same shoes his grandfather had worn for his wedding and proudly spent time shining them up for the ocassion. Before the ceremony, we spent some time on the grounds of the hotel for a “first look” and portraits. A slight sprinkle of rain made for beautiful light and dramatic skies and quickly cleared before the ceremony time. Music was played at the ceremony and reception by family members and their cherished Martin guitars. Jamie’s brother-in-law was the officiant and family members all participated in the sand ceremony by pouring in their own small amount of sand into the ceremony vases. Tom, a professional photographer himself, brought his vintage movie cameras for guests to film during the ceremony. He couldn’t help but to film some footage himself after the ceremony was over. Everyone enjoyed the dinner reception at The Ahwahnee’s Mural Room and the evening ended with a sake toast uniting the families. Jamie and Tom were so friendly and relaxed the entire day! It was such a lovely and intimate wedding! Congratulations!
