Summer Flashback–Vow Renewal at The Meux Home

Ceremony & Reception: The Meux Home
DJ/Elvis: Johnnie Rae
Cake: Sweet Dreams Cakery
Catering: Pardini’s

This past summer we had the honor of celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Johnny’s parents with a beautiful Victorian-themed vow renewal celebration. The ceremony and dinner was held at the historical Meux Home Museum in downtown Fresno, where Johnny’s Mom volunteers as a docent. She has always had a love for the elegance and beauty of the Victorian era and it had always been a dream for her to have a Victorian-themed wedding. Both coming from large families, they were married in a very small courthouse ceremony in 1958. They had to wait many years to have a dream wedding. It was a beautiful day spent with family and friends and a surprise visit from Elvis. The flower girl and ring bearer were the cutest ever, and the most uncooperative (we can say that since we are the parents). In fact our son stole the show during the wedding vows when Pator Dan asked, “who takes this woman?” Our son shouted out, “don’t take my Ma away!” We feel truly blessed to have captured such a sentimental day for our family and to have such wonderful parents with so much love. We designed this album for them and know it will be treasured for many years.
